Today, I checked in on mewe to ask what I should talk about – we’ve talked so much about covid, getting ready for covid, tapping into opportunities from covid that I was frankly sick of it and I sense all of you are too. So We tossed out a few ideas, one is a better fit for my wednesday show and the other works for today – namely Grow, a quarter 1 update. And more importantly how we can all grow through this year, come what may.
Today is Friday and we have a great interview with Amy Dingmann of A Farmish Kind of Life certain to get you off your diff and ready to go build something awesome.
Today, we continue the pantry management series with a discussion about how to keep your pantry stocked once you get things organized in there and have built up a store of supplies. Remember, this is all founded in store what you use, use what you store to tag off of Jack Spirko’s recommendations. And restocking can be a real bugaboo if not everyone in the house is helping with it. I will share with you today how I manage this without laboriously doing inventories and spreadsheets.
Today we will explore five ways to overcome high stress by taking care of yourself. There really is no reason to spiral into that place of fear that makes people into beasts, is there? And when you let stress take over, things just do not work right.
Today is #selfishsunday and with all the tension surrounding the coronavirus, I asked Tactical Redneck to reach out to his father to get a better perspective on the scale of what he is seeing in this illness versus the media-fueled, absolute mind-losing panic that we are seeing.
He agreed to send an email with his thoughts, which I heave read in this podcast.
Today is a thought of the walk day and I thought it would be a great time, among all the covid panic to explore the concept of champagne and hookers that i covered in my debt payoff episode a little more deeply.
Today I want to do another segment in the series of developing and managing a responsible pantry. I we will cover how to stock your pantry without running to the store and spending $1000 with a concept called “doubling”, as well as why you may want to start a pantry journal for a time.
#HollerHatWednesday: Who is she with and what did she do all day?
There are so many new listeners that I thought it would be worthwhile to talk about our tagline: Helping you build the life you choose on your terms. Lots of people think this podcast is about homesteading, about cooking good food, about liberty and freedom – and it is. We do tons on starting and growing your own business, side hustles and more. But when you dig right into things a little deeper, you will discover the LFTN is about choosing the life you want to live, then setting yourself up to go there. The life I choose to live is in the country, but this approach works in the city and all over the world. The hardest part of doing it is accepting that you CAN do it.
Today, we are joined by Jenni Hill as she talks about how she uses journaling and focusing on a single word of focus each year to guide her growth.
Friday Feature: Tim Cook’s Handyman Videos on Youtube – gave one of our other community members a great idea for building his new business through doing home repossession cleanups for banks.
Last week’s shows seemed to shake comments out of the trees, so today I will share some feedback with y’all as well as further thoughts on the following topics:
- Preparing for Coronavirus
- #Mythreethings, what it is and how it works — and why even try it?
- Conquering your debt monster (We had tons of input on this one
