The fair is finished and I am delighted to be home for a few weeks before heading to Kansas for the Self Reliance Festival. It gives me a chance to settle in on the reality that I just up and moved a week ago and have some things to figure out related to that!

Building Living Soil With Alan Booker on October 2 & 3
If I had it to do all over again, one of the first things I would do on my homestead is double down on creating living soil. But how do you know how you are doing with your compost systems and process? We have the solution for you. Alan Booker is doing a Living Soil and Microscopy class here in October!
Tickets are $450 and include on site camping, 3 meals a day and both classroom and hands-on learning.
LFTN Stocking Exchange
One of the hardest parts about being alone on Christmas is that there is no one here to make me a Christmas stocking. Oh how I miss that each year. They were so fun because we would spend like $50 and get stupid little useful things then wrap them like they were diamonds. Bonus points for humor.
It turns out that there are multiple people in the LFTN network who feel the same way, so we now have a Living Free in Tennessee Stocking Exchange via the mail — or you can do it at the LFTN Christmas Reception in December!!
