Ground Meat Treat

These are a pre-potluck request in my neighborhood, and Mary says they’re why she is invited to so many parties.

Alter the recipe as you wish to avoid pre-packaged ingredients and you’ll still have a delectable hors d’oeuvre.

Mary’s Meatballs

Ingredients

2 packages Jimmy Dean sausage: 1 hot, 1 regular spice
4 cups shredded cheddar
1½ cups Bisquick, Master Mix, or similar
½ onion, chopped

Mix with your hands. Mary warns it will require a lot of mixing.

Form small balls on a parchment-covered baking sheet.

Bake 18 minutes at 350°F, turning halfway through.

Serve with no sauce at all or your favorite meat, BBQ, or cocktail sauce.
