Recipe from a Mystery Book
An avid mystery reader and lover of (occasional) sweets, I just had to publish this deceptively simple recipe. It’s served at tea in Nancy Atherton’s book Aunt Dimity and the Widow’s Curse. I hope you’ll enjoy both the cookies and the book.
Minnie’s Melting Moments
Preheat 300° F
Ingredients
1 cup flour
½ cup cornstarch
½ cup confectioner’s sugar
¾ cup butter
Combine dry ingredients.
Cream butter fluffy.
Beat these together thoroughly .
Refrigerate 1 hour.
Roll out and place 1” balls 1½” apart on ungreased baking sheets, then flatten slightly with a floured fork.
Bake 20 minutes at 300° F.
